I have been taking Pilates from Lindsey for over 7 years and I love her! She has strengthened me immensely with her expertise, encouragement, discipline, and love through injuries, pregnancy, postpartum, and everything in between. I HIGHLY recommend her!

When I started taking classes with Lindsey, I had never done Pilates before and it had been years since I had exercised regularly. She quickly made me feel at ease while teaching me the basics. Lindsey has a luminous personality that makes working out fun even when she is challenging you. I am stronger and more flexible as a result of working with her for over 6 years. Her vast knowledge of anatomy allows her to pinpoint any issues I may have and give me exercises that allow me to move better. I highly recommend Lindsey.

I came to Lindsey years ago; actually 7 years ago to be exact. I stumbled upon her studio and I am so grateful that I did! I began taking her group reformer classes a couple of times a week and later moved to private sessions. Over the years, I have visited various studios around town. She is by far one of the best teachers I’ve ever had. She’s an amazing instructor! She knows so much about functional movement and how to get certain muscles firing. I struggle with a lot of back and neck pain, and with her each session provides me tremendous relief. She always starts her sessions asking how I feel and what issues I might be experiencing. To begin, she typically has me do several muscles release exercises and then customizes my session to loosen what’s tight and strengthen those muscles that are weak. Lindsey puts a lot of thought and care into her sessions. She has definitely put her 10,000 hours in! She is very good at cueing and getting the work to come from the precise area. She takes notes at each session and takes the time to carefully review them and picks up where you left off. On top of all of this, Lindsey is a very happy, sweet and loving person which I highly recommend visiting.

I have been a weekly client of Lindsey’s for more than eight years. She is a joy to train with because she is so smart and understands the body and what I am needing specifically on any given day. Her training keeps me healthy, strong, and active. Lindsey has a fun personality and always brightens my day while she is pushing me to be my best in my Pilates practice.

After my wife nagged me to try Pilates, for more than eight years, I started training with Lindsey once a week. I was hesitant because of numerous back injuries but Lindsey understands the body and customizes her approach to keep me safe while building strength.

My first session with Lindsey was in August of 2017. I was desperate to find something to make me more mobile, without pain, besides hip surgery. In our first meeting, Lindsey isolated each part of my body that was not moving properly and needed correcting. The first year and a half she focused each session on a different area, individualizing my movements while maintaining improvement in each area. Two and a half years later, my body has totally changed both in pain and symmetry. I am no longer in constant pain, and can move my body again. Lindsey’s expertise has totally changed the quality of my life.

I would highly recommend Vitality Pilates to anyone who needs to improve their strength and flexibility, or just wants to feel better and be more connected to their body. I would especially recommend Vitality, and more importantly, Lindsey, to anyone that needs to strengthen their core and get their body working the way it should. I suffer from bilateral hip dysplasia and have associated back and joint pain. A physical therapist recommended Pilates to me as a way to deal with my hip pain until I got hip replacement surgery. Exercising was pretty painful for me, so instead I chose to get steroid injections. After I realized that was just a short term solution, and potentially harmful, I started Pilates. The results have been amazing! Before going to Lindsey, I could barely walk a full block without having to stop and stretch to ease my referred back pain. Now I can walk 2-3 miles a day, and even jog a little. I am so much stronger and more stable. Lindsey really knows the body and the way things interconnect. I can go in with some nagging pain and Lindsey knows just what to do. Not only do I leave feeling stronger, taller and pain free, she has me doing things I can’t believe I can do at my age (55 this year), with the extra pounds I’m carrying and most importantly, with my creaky joints and bad hips. I get more out of her sessions that I ever got out of my physical therapy sessions, and I never feel pain after Pilates. I still have some pain if I walk too far or too often or lift too much outside of class, but I recover so much faster, and I can definitely do things I’ve never been able to do before without any pain. Lindsey is amazing and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

I tried pilates as a last resort. After years of suffering from chronic tightness in between my shoulder blades due to many years of intense weight lifting focused wholly on my upper body, everything was out-of-whack and bio-mechanically imbalanced. I had tried everything (i.e., massage, yoga, acupuncture, and chiropractic) to release that tension. All had minimal to no effect for me. Until I was introduced to pilates. And the results have been undeniable.
Pilates is now a regular part of my physical regimen, and it’s hard to imagine life without it. Throughout it all, I’ve been really blessed to have great instructors. And when I moved from NYC to Austin, finding a great pilates instructor (who gelled with me) was one of my immediate priorities. Fortunately, my last instructor in NYC made some introductions that ultimately led me to Lindsey. Like with most things, the inter-personal relationship (in this case, between instructor and client) is a critical one. And I’ve found that I’ve responded best to instructors who know when to be encouraging and supportive; when to show a little “tough love”; and are always teaching.
To date, Lindsey has pushed me further than what I had ‘accomplished’ when doing pilates in NYC. I know it’s a journey and that my original issue is not fixed. But more importantly, I know I’m on a path towards learning how to use my body more effectively and efficiently. Each week, I look forward to my sessions with Lindsey!

Where can I begin with my amazing Lindsey! With each session she amazes me with her “x-ray vision”, as I call it. She can see what is not going right with my body, and the instant procedures to implement to help me get some immediate relief, as well as, therapy to turn the injuries around. The very minute instructions make an enormous difference in how a move or exercise can go from not effective to blowing your mind effective. She is a little miracle worker. Thank you God!
